Edmund Everett Garrison Rod

Edmund Everett Garrison (New York)
6-strip Tonkin Bamboo
“Gary” arranged the bamboo strips in his rods so that each node was surrounded by five solid sides, a system that has not been copied because it uses more cane than other methods of construction. This rod is one of the few “parabolic” action rods (advocated by author John Alden Knight) that Garrison made. It was owned by Otto von Kienbusch, an angling book collector whose library, considered the finest of its time, resides at Princeton University.
