Stanley Meltzoff

The late Stanley Meltzoff (1917-2006) believed in assimilating into his subject’s environment, gleaning an understanding of how to depict the way the ocean moved and how the fish acted in their natural environment through an extensive career as a diver and spear fisherman. His works were featured in Sports Illustrated, National Geographic, Saturday Evening Post, Life and Field & Stream, to name a few, and he is a member of the Society of Illustrators Hall of Fame
