Edward Vom Hofe Reel

This Edward Vom Hofe reel is named after Colonel Lewis S. Thompson, inventor of the patent method of salmon fishing. This method was developed on the Restigouche River during the 1920s and consisted of a slack-line, drag-free presentation of large hair flies that were fished either floating or sinking.
