About the Event

This year, the American Museum of Fly Fishing will hold its annual members-only fishing outing at the Meccawe Club on Wednesday, July 13. Classic bamboo rods from AMFF’s teaching collection will be available for participants to use.

Founded in 1900, the Meccawe Club is a private trout fishing club located in the hills above Bridgewater, Vermont. The club’s 9+ acre natural pond, dammed and dredged to a maximum depth, is home to approximately 800 rainbow and brook trout ranging from 5 inches up to 26 inches. It has two feeder streams plus several springs that help it remain the optimum temperature for brookies and rainbows. There are eight rowboats and a dock available for use, as well as a large cleared shoreline with easy fishing access.
