Dickerson Fly Rod

Lyle Dickerson (Michigan)
6-strip Tonkin bamboo
Dickerson was a self-taught rodmaker who designed his own rod-milling and planing equipment. He was known for using only one or two strips from a culm, a time-consuming and expensive way to build rods. His total production was fewer than 1,000 rods. This rod belonged to rodbuilder Tim Bedford.
