9 am - 11 am

All kids age 6-12 are invited to join us on Thursday mornings at the AMFF for adventures into the world of fly fishing. Each week, we will explore a different aspect of the sport.

We ask that a parent or guardian remains on site during each session, so join us for donuts and coffee. Snacks for participants also included.

TACKLING TACKLE

Learn about the different types of fly fishing equipment and make a practice rod after touring the Orvis rod shop.

CASTING ABOUT

Casting is the key to fly fishing success. Let us show you how to get started and play some fun accuracy games along the way.

GO FISH

Discover fish species and their habitats, play fish themed games and feed the trout at the Orvis pond.

BUGGED OUT

Go on a bug hunt, learn what fish like to eat and why, and enjoy yummy dirt cups at the end of it all!

August 3

ALL TIED UP

Tie a fly with our experts and discover what materials make flies so enticing to fish.

August 10

FISHCRAFT

Get crafty making fish themed art including the ancient Japanese method of printing fish, Gyotaku. Materials will be provided.
